Metrolina Model Railroad Club

            Metrolina Model Railroad Club is home to the French Broad & Catawba RR.
            This railroad, set in 50's of North Carolina, is host to some beautiful scenery 
            including a trailer park, coal mine, massive steam station, and even the local 
            County fair. This casual group of hobbyists meet on a "come when  you can" 
            basis in Belmont, NC. There are no dues, or other membership 
            requirements. 

            The layout is built in modular sections. There are some 4ft. sections, and  
            some 8ft. sections. Any two straight modular sections can mate gether, and 
            this is true with the corner modules as well. So, the layouts design is almost
            endless. The layout is powered by Digitrax DCC system.

            The club displays the layout at train shows in the area. They have won 
             numerous awards at the Great American Train Shows, in Charlotte. The 
            club, also, sets up each year for 10 days of fun, at the Southern              
            Christmas Show in Charlotte. This event is host to everything Christmas
            including the railroad. So, if you are interested in joining the club, please
